Football photography help

Ok i have been given a ticket to the arsenal man city game on tuesday,i will be taking my sony a580 with kit lens(not ideal but its all i have) can anyone reccommend camera settings to get the best photos possible? im assuming it will be dark with an 8pm kick off

Maybe not in the spirit of things, but I maybe wouldn't bother.

Slow standard zoom you can take a few shots of the stadium, especially if you can find something to rest the camera on. Beyond that the players will be tiny and blurry most likely.

you might might enjoy yourself more not worrying about it.
