no idea about the controls but I would imagine that all domestic transfers form January are in.

yeah i hope so. Keane at celtic etc, oh god say goodbye to my life when this comes out. what are chances xbl may release updates for example transfer updates, skins like pc owners can.

secondly will we all end up buying this and then have to fork out money in september/november for Football Manager 2007!

Domestic transfers up to the end of January are in. No news on whether updated transfer packs will be available as future downloads. I'd expect the next version to be at least October 2006, so there is a good six months of gaming before the next one arrives (assuming this one is a hit).

will be worth a purchase then if i can find it for cheap tried to make a second purchase on lxdirect today of fm2006 buti think they have found out about vouchers lol so if i can get it cheap ill get it but if not ive got it for pc and dont wanna spend £40/50 on it for 6months of gameplay.

anyone know what live will be like. . 360 version should hopefully cut out the cheaters i have mates who would save before big games and constantly re load the game until they got result they wanted. did my head in. only thing am annoyed about this years pc version i had an unbeaten season with stoke in the championship, i would have had that achievement!! LOL

dan, could I ask where you pre-ordered for £21. sounds too good to be true.

I might be struggling with this one, as my 360 is hooked up to my plasma, and i'm worried about 'burn in' (which may happen with the fixed screens etc on all the time). I have a LCD 26" in the bedroom though, but means unwiring etc and is a lot of hassle. I may be tempted to get this for the PC at less than half the price now.

I love the football manager games, ive currently got a great game going with Preston North End at the moment on my laptop. Cant see myself buying it for the 360 as its a waste of money for me £30 + for a game ive hammered on the pc. Will still post info on decent players and that tho as im pretty sure the database will remain close to the pc incarnation!

undefeated season first season with stoke in championship lol then just about kept us up in premiership!

still highlight of this years pc version for me, cant wait for 360 version were will actually have achievments to show for it. its also a game i think that if microsoft allowed for more achievment points per games 1000+ they could bring out further achievments as time goes on. .

Nope that wasnt me. Ive ordered FM2006 and COD2. The P&P voucher didnt work on COD2 so it was £27. However both games for a combined £50 cant be bad!

I think SI Games say more about it on their website. It should be pretty easy to get used to.

    OK. First note.

WHEN STARTING A GAME YOU NEED TO SELECT YOUR MANAGED AND FAV CLUB FIRST. Then you add in your first name, surname and DOB. If you do it the other way around it will wipe out your name and DOB.

I made this mistake and it started my new game with me called "Untitled Manager". They need to change this.

Christ - you must enjoy a challenge!!

(This is coming from the man who is likely to start in the Conference North or with Hartlepool - and they way things are going that could be the same thing in the not too distant future).

Yeah I always try and pick an easier (compared to later games) team to manage to get a feel for the new version of FM, then later on I'll try and get my own home town team, the Super Blues themselves, Bishops Stortford FC out of the Conference South! This first game is purely an explorative experience.

I note already they have not got that killer FM2006 4-4-2 Couter tactic as an option in the default formations...

Tight Arse Freddy Shepherd only gave me £2m! Git! ;)

The Toon look a tricky prospect to me on that basis. I bet they want a decent league finish too.

Expectations are: Board - safe mid-table postion, Fans - respectable league position.

I think this is going to take a while to get used to the controller and its navigation.. It just took me a good five minutes to get the basic starting lineup and penalty/freekick/corner kick takers sorted.

Well if its owt like the PC version I own they have a bidding war for him at the start (ive got the 360 one coming tommorow for ease of use).

Good place to start for cheaper players are always the Brazil under 21's
