I saw it a while back and actually really enjoyed it. It is not in the same league as 'The Firm' or 'I.D' but watched as a film in it's own right it I thought it worked. Danny Dyer is perfect for the lead role. The violence is more in your face than the other two films but what do you expect from a film covering this topic. Some people have said in the past that it is not realistic which I'm very glad to say I can not confirm  . I don't think the film is about football at all, more about weekend thugs in general.
    Cracking soundtrack as well.

Will second the opinions on here. Not a bad film at all.

Footy fans can relate to this flick. Perhaps not quite as realistic as it could have been, having witnessed football hooliganism up close.

The fighting looks a little staged but worth checking out.

Apparently filmed and finsihed on just £500,000......

    jog on....

    Cap :)

The Yank, which does star Frodo Baggins could be based albeit somewhat loosely on a great book called

'Amongst the thugs' by Bill Buford.

He was an american journalist caught up in a football fight in a London tube station who was so appalled and yet amazed that he decided to infiltrate football gangs and document it all. Its quite an old book now, but I recommend it, it preceeds Italia 90, which does show my age... ha ha.

    Here it is

Right, I'm back again. The picture quality is superb and the soundtrack in 5.1 is excellent.

The deleted scenes don't really add to the film.
The alternate start is funny. (think this is the one you saw Silvers :smashin: )
The making of documentary is superb, they really enjoyed making this film.

All in all, a very good special edition disk that will not be going up for trade.

    Cheers, Mylo :)

I thought it was OK, but I felt like I'd seen it all before and it didn't really offer anything new. Like a mishmash of 'I.D', 'Love, Honour and Obey', 'Lock Stock', and 'Human Traffic'.

Finally got round to seeing this tonight and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I dont consider myself a "chav"in any way shape or form but I do find films like this refreshing because I can relate to them in some way;not because I go to the footie or kick off every weekend because I dont but they just seem so normal/familiar.I suppose getting drip fed repetetive sugar coated drivel by Hollywood dulls your senses and you need a film like this to say"We are still f :censored: ng here lad dont worry, stop watching that bo :censored: cks!"

I hope Danny Dyer gets more work because I always find him extremley entertaining

    Jog on indeed

its in the same mould as trainspotting imho as it doesnt sugar coat the subject matter.it doesnt try and justify what he does nor glorify it.

Got a question about the film. Why is the leader of the Millwall firm in the credits as being called 'Millwall Jack' when everybody calls him 'Fred' in the film?

Edit: Jason, did you watch the making of the film?
