I've managed to get some water into my SonyEricsson S700i rendering it useless I'm told.

As there's such a small amount of damage caused to the circuit board, is there any way of repairing this? The chap in the store that I bought the phone from did say that cleaning the affected area with alcohol of some kind could do the trick - any ideas?

Also can i not just replace the circuit board or is everything on the phone now knackered?

Any advice would be good. :lease:

Give the affected area of the circuit board a scrub using an old toothbrush and clean water. Dry it off using a hairdryer at a low heat setting.
    If that now works :smashin:
A new circuit board (if you could source one) would cost more than a new phone.
