Anyone else having issues with this today?

Windows did an update for me and it's given me a new version of Edge and Folding doesn't seem to be running or connecting, so just want to check if it's anything to do with that.

[email protected] has issues with the latest version of Edge. If you do Windows key, type 'edge' and it should bring up the older version which runs the client fine. Make sure you've got the [email protected] client itself running too.

Thanks, tried that but it just opens up the new version.

I'll see if there's a way to get the old version back.

Edit: Well apparently as of today, you can't even roll back, if it's updated from Windows Update. Can't uninstall it either! Thanks MS.

Even tried making Chrome and Firefox the default browser, didn't work, so looks like I'm done with folding for the time being :(

Are you on the Edge beta programme? If you do Windows then 'edge' is it the default 'blue' icon that comes up?

You don't NEED the web client. As long as the [email protected] client is running you'll fold. You can look at what's going on by right-clicking the [email protected] client and Advanced Control.

Not in the Edge beta programme as far as I know, never knowingly opted in.

I've got the blue curl thing on my taskbar, and when I started it up the pc this morning, it was completing some updates and open up edge and was greeted with "hey, this is the new edge, you can do this.... now"

Just found the Advanced control thing and it appears it has indeed been folding away, so we're all good :)

Just been told I'm back to the office from Monday, so that will be pretty much done with folding after tomorrow :(

Back to barely using my PC, so I doubt it'll be on long enough to get any WUs completed before they expire.

Not sure how I managed to accumulate so many credits, but happy to have done my bit and will hopefully be able to contribute again even at a slower rate at some point.
