has anyone used them and are they much good..?
The principle of this is to either damp or remove refelcted sound arising from the interaction of the sound front from the HF unit in your speakers with the front panel of the speaker.....lots of speakers are fitted with things like this as a standard fitment,and some of Meridian's early active designs are very good examples of this.
Practically speaking,most upmarket modern designs should have taken reflected sound like this into account during the design stage(although some haven't).
"Focus rings" as such are quite cheap and easy to fit or discard...if you have a speaker that sounds a bit on the harsh side,it may be worth trying...otherwise I can't say I'd bother.
