have searched the web but not much joy, does anyone know of any companies/website I can look at to find prices and to buy.

    Also,

Do you know roughly how much I should be looking to pay?

    many thanks

Got my 705's from Divine audio, only dealt with them via e-bay and phone, they seemed very helpfull.
I think 705's retail for £290, doesn't seem to be anywhere selling them cheaper unfortunatley.

There are several other companies selling Focals on the web, cant remember who though sorry.
AudioT in Cheltenham carry some Focal, not sure if that means all of their shops will?

Audio-T (which will involve a bit of traveling) are all stockists and the Brentwood branch in particular is full of JM Lab fans.

Pricing is pretty much straight down the middle of the line (although most dealers will haggle on cables), but if you ask your local independent dealer, its often surprising what they can get in for demo purposes with a bit of notice. That's worth far more than £20 off IMHO.

    Hi Simon,

I used the 705v on a Fatman I dock with fantastic results,
they are very sensative for a small bookshelf speaker.

They also spent a spell on my main Naim system for a while they really do express themselves for a small speaker.

If you can live with the unusual looks they are FANTASTIC.
I now use Spendor 5e, As you know I have a pair for sale they are in the dark wood finish.

    Hope this helps

in case anyone interested, audio affair just called me to say they can do 705s for £250 or 706s for £340. Very tempted by the 706s seeing as they are £10 cheaper than the B&W 685s I have auditioned.

However, will refrain from buying and try them first!

I would be interested in your opinions on the Focals vs the B+W's.
