Hi one and all, this may be a silly question but you guys n gals have been very helpfull in the past.

I recently purchased very cheaply a new pair of Kef iQ5se Florstanders finished in walnut, fully knowing that these are now discontinued, but at the price it was an ideal opportunity to upgrade my front speakers.

I am very happy with these but in the box of each speaker was a sealed bag with a foam insert - bung.

Not being knowledgeable on this, what are they for and what do they do and what is the benefit of them?

Many thanks in advanced.

If it's the occassional bass note, don't worry too much. If it's most of the time, then try them out. Personally, I'd try not to use them as they remove a lot of the body, or warmth, of the sound, and can make them sound thin.

Personally, I'd play with their placemement in relation to the wall as this can have a huge effect on how they sound.
