FmjDV139 cd question

This may sound like a dumb question I don't know but when playing cds through this fine dvd using CD direct , how do I bypass the dsp modes on the avr 300.Should I wire the two spare anologue sockets up to my cd input in the receiver and go through direct mode that way as i can't get direct mode through the dvd mode as with cd? Hope this sort of makes sense lol.

Direct mode only functions for analogue inputs to the AVR350. You can force the AVR350 to look for a signal on the analogue inputs on any of its sources by pressing and then holding the source selection button for 5 seconds.
