Anyone recommend a decent car FM Transmitter?. Some I've seen lousy reviews and also some monk only. For transmitting phone mp3s to car radio. Thanks

SIL did exactly this over the weekend. Ordered an FM transmitter. Came round in her new whip, and I noticed the 3.5mm Aux jack near her handbrake

BT - love it - it is the saviour for my in-car audiobooks.

Because I’ve tried loads of different car based ipod interfaces, CD readers, SD card readers and they are all carp - flakey as hell. Not long before it will reset somewhere in the middle of that 10 hour track with only a 6x fast forward to try and find where you left off.

But player on my phone, BT to car audio - rock solid.

Umpteen audiobooks, numerous phones out of charge, firmware updates. Never lost my place once.

    Cheers,

    Nigel

Only one (expensive) problem Nigel - the actual radio itself will need to be BT compatible first. FM transmitters, whilst pretty pants do serve a cheap and cheerful purpose. Plus of course, you're only not losing your place in your audiobooks because the phone you're playing them from is keeping the place correctly - it will do exactly the same over an FM transmitter, BT connection, or Aux port :)

Agree that using CDs, SD card etc. can be a bit hit and miss.
