Save yourself some money and get a Belkin Tunecast II, which IMO is the best and a complete bargain at £15 on Amazon (PC world sell them at £30, and think thats an amazing bargain). You could save even more by hunting down an OEM version (exactly the same, but does not say 'Belkin' on the front). I got mine for £9!

Comes with a car charger. You can use standard AAA batteries, but i will also charge up rechargeable ones for you (EDIT: No it wont, sorry was thinking of another model).

Another vote for the Tunecast. I'm very happy with mine, used with a 2G shuffle. After an experience with a cheapo Chinese transmitter a couple of years ago, I wasn't expecting much, but it really works, even drowning out proper radio stations on the same frequency.

d_d: does it really charge nicads? The leaflet suggests that it won't.

Id vote for the tunecast too - stay away from the itrip if you can, its plagued with glitches. Belkins is particularly good though, especially when you have it on boost from the car cigarette socket.

Tried out the Belkin Tunecast II today. Easy to use and found a frequency ok.
But it is ssooo quiet. With the nano up full, i can hardly hear it at level 20 on the car stereo. Normally use level 10.
Any suggestions at all? It is a new car so has a decent areal.
