I'm moving my rear M&K LCR26 speakers (weight 4 lbs) and want to mount them on the wall as flush as possible without seeing any of the bracket. Not worried about movement up or down or even pivoting left/right just trying to get them as flush as possible to the wall. I've searched high and low and as yet not really found anything suitable.
Really appreciate it if anybody has any ideas of where I can find some suitable brackets.

Many Thanks.

There is something called a French Bracket or a "Z" bracket. This is essentially two "Z" shaped metal strips. Mount one on the wall with the Leg of the "Z" out from the wall and facing up. Mount the other to the speaker with the Leg of the "Z" out from the speaker and pointing down.

To hang the speaker you simply interlock the Legs of the "Z" sections.

Let me see if I can find a photo of this type of mount -

Here is one I found on a USA website -

I think this style of bracket is also most commonly used for hanging large heavy portraits. That might be another resource for finding a bracket like this.

Here is another one from a UK company -

I think these are cut to fit. You take one long piece, cut TWO pieces just sort of the width of the speaker, the mount one to the wall and the other to the speaker. Fast the one on the wall pointing up, and the one on the speaker pointing down. To mount simply interlock the "Z"s.

I think the proper name, as you can see from the link, is a Z Bar French Cleat Hanger.

Just make sure section mounted to the wall is secure and reasonably LEVEL.

Just a few thoughts.

Here is a link to EBay for a French Cleat. If you scroll down you will see a Graphic of how the Cleats interlock.

I doesn't specify how much weight it will hold, but given the many mounting screws, and the wide distribution of weight, I would suspect it will hold a lot of weight.

Actually, I discovered this at one of the links -

Z30 rated @ 136kg suggested max weight 68kg

This is what the bracket will hold, that doesn't necessarily mean you wall will support that kind of weight.

Once I found the right name to call it, I discovered many source of this product using a Google-UK Shopping search -

Thanks BlueWizard, that looks like it could do the job admirably and keep the speakers as flush as possible.

Have to agree with you on searching for stuff or asking questions. Always easier when you get the right name or terminology :)

Don't forget that the speaker terminals might protrude out behind the speaker. I can't find a picture of the M&K from behind, so I don't know how the terminals are configured.

That's not necessarily a problem. Between the wall and the Z-Bar, mount a strip of wood to push the assembly forward to allow clearance for the Terminals.
