I want to upgrade my front speakers, currently I've got the B&W 601s S3. I'm interested in getting the B&W 603s S3, I'm more than happy with my 601s, just want a pair of floorstanders and upgrade, I've had them for about 4 years now.

Any ideas. How much are the 603s?

    :)

I'd suggest you go to a B&W dealer and audition the 601 and the 603 side-by-side and make your mind up if the upgrade will be worth the money.

If I recall correctly they are from the same range, and other than a bit more at the bottom end the 603 might not sound all that different from the 601.

Don't know how much they are - a quick trawl on-line or a call to a dealer will tell you.

I payed £250 for my 601s S3. I've also got the LCR600 as my centre and the VM1s as my rears. The VM1s sound just as good as my 601s if not better. But they are a lot newer, I've had them about 5 months, there quality!

Wouldn't the 603s sound a lot better and more powerful, with better bass, given the price?

a bigger speaker isn;t automatically better than a small one. In fact, you might find that your 601's sound better in the upper registers! :)
