    Hi,

I am currently looking to replace my speakers with a pair of decent floorstanders, i have been looking around but havent been able to make a decission becuase im not sure which ones will suit me best.

I was wondering if someone could reccomend a floorstander to me that is around 300-350. I am currently runnning a yamaha amp, although i am going to upgrade this as well soon.

    Thanks for the help

    Greg

Monitor Audio silver series can be found going cheap in various places including Sevenoaks branches at the moment. I think they've just been discontinued but don't let that put you off!

Ok i have narrowed it down to two speakers.

I am looking at either the MA Silver s5 at 299.99 or MA Bronze B4 at 314.99, which one do you think is better?

    Thanks

If you go to Richer Sounds Ireland website (http://www.richersounds.ie ) you could get the Bronze B4 for about £275 delivered but although I've not heard either, my gut feeling is the Silver s5 will give you a better sound as after all they did retail at about £450 originally. Seeing as you're considering a new amp in the future I bet if you choose well you'll end up better off with the Silver series.

Hopefully someone who's heard both will give you their thoughts.
