This isnt the usual layout of the sofas - they are just in this position while i am assembling a unit at the back of the room.

The combination of the black units and the red paint really transform that room, looks superb!

Looks brilliant, love the dark red, very professional feel to it. Very nice job.

I really like those cabinets, what colour are they as Ikea says black/brown but they look black, can you confirm how dark they are please.

What did you use to connect the frame to the wall?

    Hey thanks for the comments
The units are black/brown. Really dark brown, however the grain effect is black

To connect the frame to the wall i just used 160mm fixing screws. These fellas were long enough to go through the timber, plasterboard and into the breeze block

I like the red as well (well I would as we've just finished painting the feature wall in our kitchen that colour and the plan is to have the TV wall in the lounge the same colour as well).

We find the colour to be very warming!

A few pics of ours here - http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=23793&l=1038b&id=501652263

The build looks great - i bet you're chuffed to bits with it.

    Cheers.

Excellent job you've done there:thumbsup: I was just wondering, would the frame be even more secure if you removed the skirting and had the frame going all the way to the floor? You wouldn't see the difference anyway as it would be covered by the units, but would it structurally make a difference?
    Cheers,
    Tommy

I guess it would, but i am happy with how secure it is - Both myself and my dad hung from the frame (Thats a lot of weight) and it didnt even creek :)

Arghhhhh my TV went in for repair today - It developed red sparkles
Hope they replace the set with new

    Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my TV has died.
Well it didnt actually die - i experienced the dreaded red sparkles (a known fault?)
Spoke with Domestic and General - they arranged uplift with local repair shop
I was advised it would not be cost effective to repair
So basically D&G have advised i can go to Comet and choose a new Plasma to the value of 1100 notes.
I must say I am quite impressed with their service so far.
Now what model should i get????

Sorry to hear about your screen packing up mate.
I like the colour scheme you've used there, could you tell me what colour you've used on the other walls? Not the red as i've got that but the off-white colour?

    Cheers
