Flip Ultra HD and ps3?

Does anyone know if the Flip ultra hd is compatible with the ps3? can you just connect the camcorder to the ps3 via the usb and play/save files direct? or do they need converting?

I was going to say it should be ok as most cams save in AVCHD format, but this states it saves as MP4, and that's renowned on being one of the least compatible formats for the PS3, but then the PS3 is meant to support h264 in MP4 so who i'm not entirely sure!

It records in .3ivx so you'll have to convert it to use on PS3.

it's not to bad, for the money it is excellent, there is no in built stabiliser so it can be a bit wobbly but overall it's a great, fun and cheap camcorder

Yup, just flip out the usb on the camcorder plug into the ps3 then you can view/delete or save the files to your hdd or external memory NO conversion at all and i ordered mine from Play and they gave me a free flip gift
