    Hi there, newbie here :hiya:
I was wondering if someone would be able to diagnose a problem i have with my projector and hopefully point me in the right direction of getting the problem rectified.

The PJ in question is a Philips UGO S-lite LC5131.

The unit in question has developed a very severe flickering. The sections of the projected picture flickers and it also goes occasionally to black and white. It is hard to explain in writing the problem. Needless to say however, it is making the PJ unusable.

I have tried a new lamp but to no avail.

I am just really wanting to know if anyone knows what the problem might be, or, if not, point me in the direction of a repair/service centre place in the north east the England. Newcastle area.

    Thanks very much.

    Sorry to hear that.

What about Philips themeselves - is there one local? I wonder what their repair service would be like.

    Gary.

I have just phoned them tonight. They are aranging for a service place to contact me tomorrow. The guy on the phone said it has a 3 year warrenty. Just need to find out when it was purchased now. I didn't actually buy it myself.
It was being used at my place of work until i was given the task to see if it could be fixed.

    That sounds promising.

Let us know what they say, as it could be useful for other Philips owners near you.

    Gary.
