Flexible trunking

Hi

I've just moved house and am trying to figure the best way to wire up my units. In the long term i'll be channeling the walls but for the moment it's going to have to be trunking.

My problem is trying to find trunking which will fit across the bay windows. The bay windows are an arch shape, not the usual 45 degree angles. I have found what are essentially flexible plastic pipes which may do, but i'm looking for something a little more wife friendly.

Anybody tackled something similar?

As it's only temporary, can you get them up to the top of the bay window and hidden behind the curtain track or anything? (trunking probably wouldn't fit there - just put the wire on its own).

Don't think I could do that in a tidy fashion, it's going to be hdmi, component, speaker, sub and power cables as my amp has to sit in the center of the bay with the sources in the corner of the room.

Hello,

Yes Iv used similar an item for my project that may be suitable.

I found it more a product for plumbers than electricians but its basically a flexible corrugated pipe.

its similar to the one in the ebay link below.

1 inch (25mm) BLACK CORRUGATED FLEXIBLE HOSE FISH POND PUMP MARINE FLEXI PIPE | eBay

I used this to carry my cables from pre hung ceiling to tv point.

Good luck

sorry just noticed you need surface mounted ducting so this may be no use!

Flexible conduit, adaptaflex, copex etc.. all similar product, can be wall mounted using the proper brackets but wont look great. How small is the radius of the curve? Could you not use a rigid conduit shaped around the profile of the bay window?

Exactly what I did, bought the Dline stuff from b&q surprising how much it will bend. Not the prettiest but it'll do for now.
