    Here's the challenge folks...

I need about 30m of the flattest speaker cable possible to run under my carpet to three rear speakers. I'd like decent quality cable, but not at a price that will make me wince.

I'd like to spend as little as possible, but get a decent result.

    Any suggestions/links/experiences/advice?

    Cheers

I use an Ixos flat cable with a self adhesive back which is very useful both under carpets and also along white skirting boards. It used to be called Ixos 607 but they have changed the name to something completely unmemorable. It is about £2 per metre but there is an even cheaper one in the Ixos range if that is too pricey.

Is the IXOS 607 good enough to wire up my whole speaker system?

Thanks for all of your help and suggestions, but I have decided to go a different route. I have just had my lounge replastered, and am going to replace the skirting board with MK Lincoln skirting trunking, which will allow me to use almost anmy cable I choose.

I'd imagine that I will now be able to get better cable, as the non-flat variety tends to be cheaper like for like.

    Ta very much!
