I've got the 32nx200 and if the LED flashes when you put it into standby it is to show that you have a recording event scheduled on the Digital tuner. Try the manual.

Yep sjw that is true. But other non standard patterns of flashing do give error reports. And yes you need some sort of look up table or manual. Depending on the pattern if there are no associated problems (lack of picture/sound etc.) it probably is the record event signal.

I get exactly the same "error". I have a JVC VCR but I have never tried to record from the digital channels so don't know why it starts flashing. As soon as I switch off and on using on/off switch it seems to be ok again. I have never seen any kind of problem when I get the flashing led.

My first post (excellent site by the way)!

I've had problems with my old Sony 34 inch and once it developed a fault the 'self-diagnosis' kicked in.
This then tells the standby LED to flash giving an appropriate code for the repair engineer to assist of where the fault lies.

I've attached a link to the fault codes that I have found, but unfortunately does not show '12 flashes' !
IMO I would make a service call when this happens again.

    Hope this helps, regs Bubblenose

Go into service mode and look up error menu, this should give you a better idea of what's happening.
