I have just purchased a 40" Sony LCD TV and a Glass Stand from John Lewis. The Sony Manual recommends that the TV is bolted to it stand, but I am very reluctant to attempt to drill a hole through the toughened glass stand. At the moment I have used a "G" cramp to hold the TV to the stand but this is a bit ugly. Does anyone out there have a neat solution?

    Many thanks

    Hi,

I have a 40" Bravia, and a glass stand that was part of the Sony Centre promotion... I appreciate the manual says to bolt it to the stand, but if you're pushing the stand up to the wall so the back of the TV is protected, like I have, there really is no need for the bolt... The TV's own stand is of sufficient surface area and has a rubberised lip around its edge to be pretty sure it will stay put.

(This includes the moment my cat decided to play AV-Gymnastics:eek:)

    Hope this helps...
