My Quake has started to make a lot of buzzing sounds even when not connected to the amp. It is about a year or so old but the retailer closed down my local shop and it would mean a 200 mile round trip to get anyone to look at it.

    I guess my choices are
    1. Get it fixed by Rel or retailer
    2. DIY upgrade of internal amp or driver
    3. Buy another sub

My room is quite small (15x21) and my preference is for quality not quantity but the budget is small, around £200.

    Any suggestions

Get it fixed, it is still under warranty so you would only be liable for the carriage costs to the dealer and back.
