First time setting up looking into Home Cinema - advice?

I currently have a SAMSUNG PS51D550 TV and have the Sky HD box connected to it using HDMI and my PC is also connected to it via HDMI. I am looking to purchase the LG HX906PA 5.1Ch 3D Blu-ray Home Cinema System next week hopefully. Would all this go together? And would I still be able to get 5.1 sound when using the computer to play a movie through the TV?

If the movie is encoded in DD5.1 surround sound, and if it is connected to the home cinema using a digital audio method (i.e. optical or digital coaxial) and if the software you use on your computer to play the movie can decode surround sound then it should be capable, yes.

The TV can't process 5.1 surround sound, and the TV can't pass 5.1 surround sound to the home cinema, so it won't be the TV which produces the surround sound. But your computer might be able to.
