Hey guys, first thread started here...
Basically, I've got a bit of money to spend, and I've decided to plump for a PS3/LCD TV combo...
Now my choice has kinda led me to one of 2 TVs.
The first is the Sony KDL-40S2530U, and the second is the Toshiba 37WL66
Obviously the Sony has a bigger screen and integrated freeview, but does this justify spending an extra £150? (I've found the Sony for £835, the Toshiba is £699).
I'm new to the whole HD revolution (so to speak) so I don't know whether it's worth me getting either of these sets now, or getting a smaller screen but with 1080p... Is the difference in quality *really* that noticeable? (Bear in mind I've been using a 20+ year old hitachi CRT for the past 5 years or so!)
Any advice you guys could give me would be very welcome, and I'd also consider any recommendations for an alternative TV...
My budget is (as stated) about £925, but that is the absolute top... I'd much sooner try and stick as close to £850 as possible
