you need to be more specific

a) price
b) hi def ?
c) prefer lcd or dlp
d) size of room / distance from screen to pj / where you intend to position the pj etc

If you have a grand and watch or play hi def then get a Panny AX100 demo'd (assuming they have fixed the green flash problem mentioned below)

...just noticed you have a ps3 so you obviously want hi def

i have a ps3 and the ax100 is great with it.

If you have loadsacash and want the 1080p then maybe try the next panny up.

Size of your room is important but budget is the obvious starting point.

Make sure you get a demo

does need to hd.

LCD OR DLP not overly bothered but overall pq is important
but needs to be versatile

What is versatile in your mind? If it means being flexible on placement then DLP may not be for you.

I'd work out what budget you've got and what size room you have and then you can begin to narrow the choices down. Demo's are a good idea as well.
