About to buy my first projector, and have narrowed my choices down to:

    Panasonic AE700
    Optoma H31
    InFocus Screenplay 4805

I would have considered the Sanyo Z3 as well, but it's a touch out of my price range (the Panny would be too, but I've found a really good deal on it).

Would appreciate advice from anyone whose seen 2 or more of these side by side. Planned setup is to project onto a Grandview 92" screen with a throw a little over 12'.

A touch under $US 1,100... at the current rate of exchange (dollar very weak), that's only just over 700 GBP. This, I would point out, was a real weird one... found it on Froogle, everyone else was quoting $1,800+.

Arn't you scared ordering from overseas? Will the warranty be valid in Europe? What if you want to update the firmware/have problems?
Also, you'll probably have to pay tax when delivered, plus, don't forget the S&H costs. But that's just my opinion. Might work without a problem. Don't want to scare you.

Wow... that was indeed the site I was looking at... helluva glad you picked up on it before I did anything (although I would have checked the reseller ratings anyway before buying anyway).

Yeah, in retrospect, it WAS too good to be true, wasn't it? LOL... hindsight is golden (so's my money, and thankfully I still have it too!)
