First Photos with 400D

I decided tonight was a good a time as any, with me starting 18 days off to try the 400d out.
Comments and critism welcolme.

Saltburn Pier, played about with Photomatix for this one.

Looking over Saltburn Cliff, cropped this one due to a bright white light causing flaring.

This is the same shot as the second one but played about with it in Photomatix.

These were taken using the kit 18-55 lens.

Great andy:thumbsup: ...worthy comp entries also..

I like the composition on the first one.

Nice looking shots, I think I'd like to see the colour saturation toned down a little. As has been said, nice composition. Lets see some more

I like the idea in #2. Looks like normal trains but then there's this pier and sea sticking up in the air. Very intriguing. I'd like to see a few more of this particular scene, with a bit less tweaking done (or a black & white version) with everything centered vertically on the tracks.

Thanks for the comments guys, centering this is a no go as there is a wooden hut at the top right between the rails so access for a photo has to be from the side.
