    Hi all,

I am interested in purchasing a 26” LCD HD ready TV.

However I live in the UK and have a fairly limited budget.

I have been looking at this one which will set me back £500: -

    Acer AL2671W

    26” LCD HDTV
    1280 x 768
    16 ms

    480i, (via Component sockets).
    480p, (via Component sockets).
    720p, (via Component sockets).
    1080i, (via Component sockets).

    Connectivity.

    1 x SCART accepting RGB,S-Video.

1x SCART supporting RGB, S-Video, Composite and Component.

    1 x VGA input

    1 x DVI-Digital with HDCP.

    1 x composite video input

    1 x headphones ( mini-phone stereo 3.5 mm )

    Audio line-in

So what do you guys think???

I have limit knowledge about HDTV’s so any help or advise would be great. I realise the make isn’t Sony, but unfortunately top brands are not in my budget.

One thing I don’t understand is how the RGB, S-Video, Composite and Component are routed through SCART. Is this normal? A problem? Etc…

Finally I want a PS3 when they are released. Will this TV be ok for HD with a PS3?

    Many thanks.

Have a look in the LCD forum, there are a number of threads which discuss the Acer model you are interested in:)
