having ordered my first ever projector i was pondering about which film would have the honour of taking its virginity.

should i choose one of my personal favourites, a crash bang wallop or an old classic?

so anyway, tell me which film you chose as the first on your very first projector

My new PLV-30 has arrived and when it's set up I plan to watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon first - I've had it on DVD for months but didn't want to waste it on the small screen.

I lost my pj cherry to Independance Day. I know it's not the best film in the world or anything, but I wanted to wallow in that "Big screen / Big event" experience.

On the other hand, Chris made a pretty good point :D

And it didn't look so good partly because I was too impatient and set it up too Godamn quick......I had the brightness reduced and the contrast set to full to try and get the blacks nice and dark......It was really uncomfortable then I switched the panny to normal mode and it looked fab!
Putting up my 7ft electric screen soon :)

MI2. Crappy movie...but perfect for the Big Sound & Vision experience.

I've not managed to wipe out this stupid grin I'm carrying since then...

(actually, it gets worse every time I see a new movie... )

    :p
