Brilliant pictures, just shows what a good camera and lens the D50 kit is. ( I have one!)
Dont know what type of zoom you are after, but I have a Sigma 28-200 f3.5-56 Aspherical with internal focusing and macro. Excellent lens and great to keep on the camera all the time. And less than £120 from Microglobe!!
I found it better than the Nikon 55-200 lens, and cheaper.

You seem to have taken to your D50 like a duck to water ;) :D
Excellent shots, all of them. Extremely sharp and beautifully exposed. My favourite has to be the ducklings shot too. Well done wobblebottom:thumbsup:

    Nice photographs - Razor sharp.

I keep forgetting how nice the kit lens is, It's a little flimsy and light, but it really does produce the goods. Mine's buried at the bottom of my bag, unused for months.

Might just have to dig it out again. ;)

These are all really, really good. Sharp, punchy, interesting. Struggling to suggest improvements! Even your sky shots you've really pulled off - a sky like that should be a difficult subject. Very well done :)

Great shots WB. My favorite has to be your sky shot although the last one of the duck with the ducklings is lovely too. Great colors and very sharp.

    Very nice images all round:thumbsup:

Very impressive.. PP skills are important but as you've shown, you need to get the images in the first place otherwise PP skills don't count for much

Mod comment: Your initial images were far to large: It is better to link to the large images but embed the smaller ones here ( you did it the other way round)

Not wanting to kick off a 'my brand is better than your brand' argument but is the Nikon kit lens considerably better than the Canon kit lens? Cos my pics are nowhere near as sharp as those!

Great pics by the way. :)
