Hi everyone,

I've just had my first attempt at lightning photography with a storm that has just come through. Quite happy for my first effort just need to play a bit more to get the right exposure time.

Anyone had experience with shooting lightning who would like to share any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Marcus

Ok I've just managed to find some info on HDR shots and can confirm that it's not one of them. I haven't worked out how to do any post-shot processing yet.

I've just worked out where to get the Exif data from, and it's as follows:

Model: Canon EOS 5D
ISO Speed Ratings: 800
Exposure Time: 10.00 seconds
Shutter SPeed: 10.40 secs
F-Stop: f/5.00
Aperture Value: f/5.00
Focal Length: 28mm

I am using a EF 24-105 1:4 L IS USM lens on my 5D and I used manual focus set at infinity.

Cheers,
Marcus
