LED Backlight would be nice as well, but I could live without it...

Any idea on which firm will be first one out with the above specs? UK release of course.

Toshiba sound like they are quite close with the X series, but are lacking the 100Hz

Bets anyone?

Well, Toshiba's Z in September, Philips' new range expected this summer and Sony in September October in my opinion (not announced).

The Philips 42PFL9832D ? Sounds like a nice set (I bet it will be expensive)

September sounds a long way away...

Yes, although I'm looking at the 47....looking at their CES press release the dollars price isn't bad.....lets hope the exchange doesn't screw things too badly! Even so, you can get one with full ambilight and one with only partial, swhich should help pricewise?

Changing things a little - Is there anything <40" which meets the specs I'm looking for?

Just curious.

im not sure

Sony definitely wont as they only use S-LCD panels and they only make 32 and 40 inch

I belive the Toshiba Z series only starts at 40inches as well

i think somebody may do a 37" but definitely isnt the demand for a 32" with these features as 1080P is pointless on a set this small.
