Hi. I'm new to this forum and have looked through to see if this information is already available, but can't find it. So, forgive me if it is there somewhere!

Anyway, thanks to Crustyloafer I have found that I have really old firmware - 1.3 and LO08 on my DV88. How do I go about updating this myself please? I am reasonably technical so would be comfortable doing it, and prepared to take the risk.

Also, I have a AV200 but couldn't see how to check the firmware of that. I would like to confirm that that is latest version as it has just recently been repaired.
    Thanks

All you need to do is phone or e-mail Arcam asking for the latest firmware CD for your player. They will more than happily oblidge.

Once in your possession I believe all you do is insert the cd and sit back until finished :)

I believe most of it is actually centred around transport/laser reading improvements so at the end of the day you may not notice much if the player is working well at present.

Thanks. Having looked at the list it makes me realise just how outofdate my poor old system really is :-( I probably should follow the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" rule, but I like to play.....
