    Seasons greetings Knowledgable People!

I posted a thread in the Camcorder Editing forum a few days ago but have a further question that I think is more appropriate here.

My brother is building me a new PC and after some advice from another forum (sshh!) I was recommended to get an:

    Asus A7N8X-VM nForce2 (Socket A) Micro ATX Motherboard (MB-032-AS)

However, I don't think this has Firewire built in.

I was looking at the Asus A7N8X Deluxe nForce2 (Socket A) Motherboard (MB-019-AS) which mentions Firewire in the spec (only an extra tenner).

Does the first one def not have F/W? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

(I've just re-read this post and I know the answer sounds bloody obvious but I know nowt about building PC's so I thought I'd best ask....)

tom's giving asus motherboard of the year is BS. well actually tom's itself is BS.

The nf7-s is cheaper and it has firewire. Its also slightly faster and overclocks much better. easy choice really:)

    Thanks for the info guys

I think its the Asus Deluxe then....

I was told the Abit doesn't have an integrated graphics card and since I'm not planning on playing games I wasn't going to splash out on a separate one.

    Why are PC's so complicated.....?
