    Hello,

my current DVD Recorder only allows one way transfer via the i-link connector i.e. I can get footage into the recorder via i-link but can't get it out via i-link.

I have done searches in the wider www to try to find an answer but all results merely confirm whether a recorder has an i-link connection or not and doesn't mention bi-directional capability.

I require this facility for DVD to DV transfer of family films and client product. Seems like many manufacturer's of DVD recorders are convinced that the only use for bi-directional i-link is for the copying of copyrighted material.

Is there a deck currently available, preferably dual-standard ('+' and '-'), which allows firewire output?
