fire wire

    just wanna say thanks for all the advice but now i need some more.
    now i need fire wire card (which one) could you please state the full kit so i can go and get one' and is there any online shops you would recomend.

    Try http://www.dabs.com/

    Look for any IEEE1394 (firewire) card which is OHCI compatible (most are).

    Not much difference between any of them.

    You might want to check the chipset is the Texas instruments one. The NEC version has been known to give problems. If it helps, the D-Link card I purchased from Scan has the TI chipset and was less than £20.
