I have bought a firetv cube and set it up, very pleased, however i believe that you van replace the break out mini usb box that has an ethernet port on, with an aftermarket one that has 3 usb3 ports, and a gigabit ethernet port with the ability to be powered by a seperate power supply. this will enable me to use external storage usb memory stick. I believe i can use the ES app to read ntfs file structure on the memory stick and send the file to the app of choice.
My question is any recomendations on a break out box? i believe i will need a otg cable, will an otg single piece adapter work also?
I have always liked ugreen for their price v quality point
suggestions/advice please

This one sometimes gets a shoutout. I hate the ES explorer app but interesting that you say it will read NTFS. I’d always thought any drive attached to a Fire device had to be FAT32 but obviously not. I assume if you use Kodi you still won’t be able to bitstream?
