I,ve just finished LOTR:Battle for Middle Earth. Really enjoyed it. Not TOO complicated!!

What next...RTS, resource management..build up army..attack enemy..

thanks for any recommendations.

perimeter is a good game, although a little unothodox!

Hearts of Iron 2 is the complete opposite of LOTR:BFME.

No flashy presentation, quite complex production/resource management, etc.

But oh-so addictive.

I haven't gone anywhere near LOTR:BFME since getting HOI2. For that matter I haven't gone near a lot of things since getting HOI2... TV, other games, bed, food.....

Rome : Total War is another game I would highly recommend.

Yeah Hearts of Iron 2 - end of thread :D . RTW is also cool but It has to be HOI2 for me!

You can play Battle for Middle Earth online if you have broadband. Its really good fun and challenging with the 4 races playing on deathmatch maps

I would love to see LOTR done using the Total War engine, I think if done properly, both the strategy and the batlle mode would be of a different class to anything we have seen with regard to LOTR so far,

Heres hoping

Hi all. :)

I would second the "playing BfME online" suggestion.
It is quite fun, but also quite frustrating as most of the tactics you developed playing the AI don't work against "live" opponents.

Slightly off-topic: does anyone know if the AV Forum clan play BfME?
If they do, how do you go about applying to join the clan?
