I'm sure there's an answer to this in here somewhere. I'm trying to find an audio player that can use an old hard drive (ideally 3.5 inch IDE) but that has its own screen and headphone/speaker outputs and doesn't require being hooked up to a TV to work. (In other words, a super sized, if not very portable, iPod.) Bonuses would be ability to play mp3 wma and aac files and to have a drag and drop navigation system - I'm tired of iTunes and Media Player's systems that are a nightmare with streamed audio. There are plrnty of multimedia devices that will play audio, but everyone I've seen requires a TV for navigation and/or playback. Can anyone help? Something fairly cheap and cheerful would be fine.
