    matrix

    vanilla sky

didnt want to watch any until my dvd player was repaired
 (it friggedup the day i was setting my gear up:rolleyes:  getting it back tommorrow :D ),but i couldnt resist.so borrowed my parent dvd player.

cant believe how much differance the big screen makes,i found myself getting totally engrossed in the movies,
i was also suprised that i wasnt trying to look at the pic quality, which i thought i would do.

    gonna watch the pledge tonite,cant wait:D :D

    Hi.

I know the feeling. I recommend you watch Jurassic Park III with the volume up if you haven't seen it before. It's an experience! I can't wait till LOTR FOTR arrives on DVD. I haven't seen it yet :)

LOTR is out on august 6th, but beware! The version released then will be the same as was shown in cinemas, but if you wait till mid november, the director's cut version will be released on dvd and it is thirty minutes longer featuring many scenes cut from the cinema version because the studio didn't want the film to last longer than three hours. I shall hire the august version, but buy the november version.

Codling, I also managed to get my 9' screen up and working the night before last.
haven't put my AV system backin place yet, so only been watching video, no sound. Last night I couldn't resist and used 5 mins of used Jurassic Park III - absolutely hilarious.
You're right, i find I spend the first couple of mins looking at the quality of the picture, and then start looking at all the things that are actually happening on screen:)

on the ae-100 using progressive scan is an massive leap in pic quality.i was glad i got the mod done.
apparently the scaler in the 11ht is excellent, compared with the ae-100's,this is probably why you cant see much improvement.
i think i read somewhere someone asking wether to it would be worth feeding there 11ht with a progressive player, the reply was that it wasnt nessesary because its own scaler was very good.

just got mine back today, they had to change the disc drive, and ive noticed it is a hell of allot quieter:D but ive still got the bloody dropouts:( .think im gonna haveto change my amp:rolleyes:

my next movie to watch is going to be mulholland drive, cant wait

where the denon sold at.sounds a great price.
im just starting to look into what amp to get.need to do more research,is the avc 1sr the next model up from the 11sr?.
its gonna be a little bit more harder to choose than i first thought, with the mention of upgades to certain models etc.
and when i do buy a new one i hope theres no dropouts.
