After a lot of research, some carpentry and a lot of cable management i have finally finished installing my first home cinema and i have to say i am quiet proud, but i would not mind some feedback.

    My set-up:

    Yamaha DSP-Z9
    Cabasse Xi 5.1 speakers
    Pioneer PDP-435XDE
    Denon DVD-3910
    Pioneer DVL-909 Laserdisc
    Sony DAT DTC-75S
    Sony Cassette deck TC-K611S
    JVC D-VHS HM-DR1000EK
Sony VTX-D800U Freeview (for the D-VHS)
Yamaha CDR-HD1500 (400GB to store all my CDs without any compression)
All interconnected with QED cables and I use QED Silver Anniversary for the speakers

For control I got a Marantz RC5200 to replace all of them with a RX-77 RF repeater (some of the gear is in a cupboard)

Everything is pluged into an Olson Sound Fantastic unit

When available i will be adding a Sony DVD recorder (RDR-HDX1010) and when budget allows a HCPC with 2TB to store my DVD collection.

    Any thoughts or feedback???

    Have i done well???

On paper it sounds superb, but dont forget the sofa or chairs, I note they are not listed. :rotfl:

Can I ask (when you've had sufficient time with it) for your feedback on the Yamaha's on screen display/menu/navigation system.

Elsewhere on this forum the comments haven't been great and I'd be interested in another opinion.

Also, if you don't mind how much did you pay for it (if bought separately) and where?

    Cheers
