    Hi!

Thanks for reading, been around for a while, have now decided to take the plunge.

Got the deal from MAW, TH42PWD7, component board etc...

    Now what?

I have an xbox and old Philips freeview box I would like to connect, but plan to get sky+ and dvd player.

I think I have decided to go the AV amp route (with upconverter???) so I can bung anything through the amp and run one component cable from amp to screen. Have I got the right idea here?? then just selct via remote what I would like to use.

Have read the sticky at the top, tends to bring me around in a circle

Was looking at the Yamaha and Denon amps with upconverter, am I looking at the right things?? Any way of doing it cheaper??

Sorry for all the questions, appreciate any help.

    Cheers :uk:

You are looking in the right place and at the right way.:D

What sort of budget are you looking at for the amp? Are you just going to use it for movies?

Not sure there is anyway of doing it cheaper then buying an amp with up-conversion to component.

just for my bedroom actually, totally for tv/movies, have no plans for music. Budget is tight, looking at around 300 notes MAX the AX757SE looks like the sort of thing I need, just tad over budget as I do have to get a speaker set too.

You might be able to get the 757 for arround that price from Germany.

No power supply problems just change the plug and go and the warrenty is still valid in the UK even if you buy in Germany.

Take the 757, trust me :) I got the 750, and you'll LOVE the learning remote, more power and all the other cool features it has, great sound for movies as well  Build like a tank as well so....
