I recently returned a Toshiba RD-XS34 DVD recorder back to the retailer due to a hardware fault, however, I forgot to finalise a few discs before sending the unit back.

My question is whether I'm up the creek with this or is there a way to finalise the discs on a PC or another machine?

    Any help appreciated!

    Dave.

One trick that certainly worked with +R discs is to write an additional small dummy text file, which will often enable finalisation routines on DVD writing apps such as Nero. The text file should not interfere with the video content playback.

If you get another Toshiba you should be able to finalise on that. Or maybe you know someone who has one.
