Finalise DVD to play in DMR EX79

I have recently captured some video on my Windows 10 computer using OBS software. I burned this to a DVD-R using Ashampoo (free) and finalised the disc on the computer. I inserted the disc in my DMR EX79, intending to play it, but get the error message "unsupported". The disc will not play in another DVD player.

Can anyone advise where I am going wrong and describe the correct procedure? Any replies would be gratefully received.

Thank you in anticipation.

"Tabletop" DVD players will typically only play discs that are properly mastered according to the DVD-Video specification. You can't simply burn a file onto a disc and expect it to play. You need a DVD authoring software to create the correct encoding and file structure for a player to play it.

For DVD, I use DVDStyler - Free DVD Authoring Application but note that a properly authored DVD is only ever "standard definition" (i.e. PAL625/50i or NTSC525/60i).
