I brought the same amp back in 2002 i paid 1620 pounds for it. Also had a Yamaha a1 two of the best amps i owned. these amps were about the sound not all the gimmicks they stick on them now.Sorry for that just see the pic of the amp and had a flash back.

Hi, I'm looking for a high quality legacy beast at the moment. Do you know if you can bi-amp the front speakers in a 5.1 set up?
    Cheers

Nick, can't seem to find anywhere about bi-amp? strange as Its one of Denon's high end think 2nd from top in its day originally cost £1800 and the DVD...was around £750 so think you speakers would blow well before the amp would

Again £300 for both these high end units.

Thanks for looking. I've had a look too and don't think you can. TBH after some research I think I'm after an Arcam AVR350. GLWS

Aaron, the dvd is silver and the amp is classed as champagne gold when together you dont really notice the difference as your overwhelmed by the performance of both units

Might be interested ...Gary what's the difference with this and the AVC A1-SE ? Wasn't the SE version more expensive and had improved power and sound ? There's so many different versions of these I'm confused!

    Thanks mate;)

Good question. ..but are you getting confused with AVC -A11SR to AVC-A1SE etc A11 Was just below the A1...but think the A11SR came out after the SE...difference. ..now I'm confused. ..

Was going to say...hope this helps. ..
