Are the chinese subtitles likely to be burnt in?

 

NO most R3 are english DD5.1 but with more chinese subtitles I have R3 disks and subtitles can be turned off on all of them

 

I received this today and can confirm DTS sound and removeable subtitles!!!!!

 

jmcr100, could you tell us more about the audio / video quality of this dvd please ?

Ooops, sorry. Looks like I've got a cookie which sorts this out directly. In your case you'll have to go HERE first and then search for Final Destination 2. Should come up @ £6.99 for the Region 3 jobbie.

Watched this one on Sunday night. Absolute corker. Really enjoyed it with superb audio and video quality to boot. Better than the first one I thought.

Seems to be just region 1 (£11.99) and 2 (£8.99) now

 

The R3 for £7.99 seems to have reappeared now.

 

Thanks for the finding this one - I've just ordered it for £6.99 inc p&P Who says DVDs cost more than VHS

 

What audio is on the R3 ? I see it has DTS - is it the ES that the R1 has ?

Just received mine in the post today - a word of warning though, the disc isn't recognised by my old Panasonic 100 player, but works fine with my Toshiba 220.

PaulBoy: The packaging doesn't mentino DTS-ES so I assume it won't have it.

 

...oh, and if you want it for HTPC use, think again, 'cos it doesn't read very well in either of my PC DVD drives!

Watched the first 15 mins with my girlfriend last night, had to stop 'cos she found it too scary Damn, can't watch it on my own :O

 

Too scarey? It's not as jumpy as the first film, but it does have quite a lot more gore and splatter in it.

Not a bad film all in all though.

 

Bursar: I see you're in good old Cambridge too (I assume the UK one), you could probably hear her shouting for me to turn it off! Didn't help that I gave a running commentry on the gore when she turned away of course

It is now only coming up with the R2 Version priced at £8.99.

I think this is still cheap but if peeps are getting it for £6.99 then I want some of the action!!!

 

I was a bit put off by the region 3 tad as most have a poorer picture quality but I bought this feeling guilty as though I should have spent the few extra quid for the excellent region 1 copy. I was really impressed with both picture and sound recommended.

 

Mine arrived today (£4.49!!) and a quick check shows it to have excellent PQ with good colours and definition.

This is p*ssing me off, if I use the £1 off link and do a search only the region 1 & 2 versions are shown. If I go to the site from my favorites and search for it all 3 are there.

Anyone know a way around this, ive been trying to get to it through the £1 off link all day
