Excellent, any series that has charactors like PooFarty and knobend is an essential buy. I used to like the door bell gag

Was there an episodes with the Nolan sisters?

"I'm in the mood for Ritchie, he's not titichy. Infact he's incredibly well endowed" etc

"Cor, the Nole's are talking dirty to me........."

    Not that I'm a fan ;)

Sadly advance word is this may be cut to remove expensive bits of music and Ritchie singing 'Oliver'. I will wait for the reviews before buying.

    Very watchable indeed daughter :D
You can see the progression towards Bottom and B'stard in a lot of this series.

I got this one about a week before the release date from Play. Big fan of Bottom, Young Ones, et al, but I'm still a little undecided on this one. (might take a few repeat viewings)

The back of the DVD does indeed say that some things have been cut, but gives no details. Since I haven't seen the series before, I'm not sure what's been cut, though.

Generally, with TV DVDs, it's to do with the rights to music/lyrics - as is the case with FR&C. Many, many, are affected in this way.

I believe it has never been repeated on BBC.
Which is strange. Is this because of a 'rights issue' too?

Cilthy, Fitch and Ratflap was repeated many moons ago on UK Gold when it had just started out and was repeating early Neighbours, Dr. Who, The Filth and Eastenders

Hard to compare anything to The Young Ones, which changed the face of comedy...but I think it's way funnier than Bottom.
Rik Mayall's character, Richie Rich, is a fantastic lampoon of a lot of actors desperate for work, and Filthy Ralph is just, well... filthy. :)
