    Hello,
Has any one got their CCR40R filters for the HS10 yet.
As I went into my local camera shop and he said that the hoyrex 065 85 filter is the same. It looks a lot darker than the one supplied with the PJ. Can anyone tell me if it is the same or put a picture of the CCR40R on the forum?

    Thanks:D

Its a red as opposed to a magenta and YES it does improve things after calibrating.

    Hello John
Have you got a pic of it as I cant tell if mine will be allright.
I was given a ring to put it in but i will have to cut it down and try to stick it in, but if it is wrong then it will go back.

    Thanks for the reply

No pic I'm afraid but its a 67mm ring with a fine thread and it just screws into the front of the lens opening.

You can see elsewhere on this forum where to get the filter from. It's a place called SRB who do filters. The price is £18.

The filter is CC40R (red) on a 67mm thread (standard fitting) as opposed to the supplied cinema filter which I believe is a CC20M (magenta). The numbers refer to the intensity of colour of the filter so a CC20M is a lighter shade of magenta than a CC40M and so forth.

It makes the picture better as long as you calibrate the unit afterwards because it makes everything look pink.

    John
