I want to use a polarising filter on my GX7. My problem is that the lens hood has an insertion tab that will not pass through the filter...so I cannot put a polarising filter on unless I leave the lens hood off. Panasonic do not make a "compatible" polarising filter. Has anyone else overcome such a problem with their GX7? Is there any "negative" to leaving the lens hood off?

I've not noticed hoods make any real difference and the stills one that comes with my GX7 doesn't seem to to me.

Try it without a hood and let us know how you get on.

    Hi,

I am thinking of buying GX7. Is this model a good buy?

Depends what you're looking for in a cam, because you might be better off getting a seperate digital camera and then getting a cheaper Panny cam.
