Who among you has paid to see a movie and then been unable to sit through it entirely due to it being unutterable crap?
The only one I've walked out of so far is Phantom Menace. Wot a pile of poo. Rubbish story, uninteresting characters, inaudible dialogue etc etc. :boring:
The wife agreed; we went and had a drink instead.

OFF TOPIC: Also walked out of the theatre once. Ruby Wax one woman show. But that's another story.

The Exorcist - heard so much about it as a teenager that when it was re-released at the cinema a few years back I had to take a look.
I couldn't believe how bad it was & thought it was one of those comedy take offs.

On DVD had to switch off the new version of Planet of the Apes.
Bad is not the word & the vilian ape just reminded of the old PG tips ad.

Also had to switch off Lord of the rings after half an hour - just not for me.

Wanted to walk out of Blair Witch Project and Last Night but I went with friends and it was their Birthdays so for reasons of being polite I couldn't also the girls that they set me up with each time were cute. Also awnted to leave during Monsters Ball, League Of Extraordinary Gentleman and Hitchhikers Guide but I'm too much of a cheap B'stard.

The cutie that I was sat next too was kinda nervous. I swear that if I'd made a move during the film we'd have needed a spatula to scrape her off of the ceiling

    SLAP!

Seriously this wasn't scary - it was however, another word beginning with S. The only thing scary about this movie is the amount of money it made.

tried to watch "oldboy" yesterday, fell asleep after half an hour, woke up, watched another 15 minutes, then gave up on it. Might give it a second chance, but I was so disappointed it in.

I too walked out of the "phantom menace", was one of the worst films ever IMO.

Was in London once with a couple of hours to kill, walked round to Leicester Sq and saw that 'Event Horizon' was on in one of the cinemas. Thought it might be nice for me and the missus to see a film in a posh cinema. Worst mistake we ever made. Cinema (no names) was average and the film was utterly dire. We left and went for a Chinese instead.

I have never been so scared in my entire life, I was going to walk out because I was so scared.

I saw it in Australia when it came out with the girl I was living with and four of her friends. The only reason I stayed in was to not lose face in front of them.

Honestly the scariest film I have ever seen, I will NEVER watch it again, it sends shivers down my spine just thinking of it.

    Pah! ;)

Never walked out of a movie, but oh so many contenders. Fell asleep in the cinema when watching the remake of The Blob (but it was the 2nd time around - was skipping college). Wanted to walk out of Torque, National Treasure, Devdas, Bad Boys 2, Batman & Robin (after 5 minutes - and I got in for free) and Universal Soldier though. Couldn't walk out of LOTR or Phantom Menace as I refused to pay and watch 'em.

    Walked out of

    The Piano
    Eyes Wide Shut
    Alfie (the new one)
    Melinda and Melinda

those are the ones I can remember. Recenlty I wish I'd walked out of 'Closer', and I really really wish I'd never been to see any of the new Star Wars movies, but fan boy that I am, I just had to destroy my childhood.
